Loop walk at Camp on the Dingle Peninsula

Event Details

The Camp Loop Trail Walk on the Dingle Peninsula is a stunningly scenic hike that takes you through spectacular trails on the slopes and valleys of the Sliabh Mish Mountains. You can totally immerse yourself in the countryside and pristine nature while enjoying panoramic views of Tralee Bay and the surrounding mountains, stretching all the way over to West Kerry. The terrain includes country roads, grassy laneways, river crossings and a beach walk. Essential requirements for enjoying the soft weather in the Irish countryside are walking shoes with a good grip and suitable rain gear. As the saying goes, ‘There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear!’

What to wear: Comfortable pants that stretch, are very comfortable and do not limit your movement (denim jeans are not suitable); light, breathable layers on top; waterproof jacket and trousers to wear over base and mid layers. Hiking boots that are waterproof and protect your feet. Hat, gloves, sunglasses.

What to bring: Small backpack with waterproof cover, drinking water, healthy snacks. Trekking poles if you have them and like to use them. Bring a change of clothes and shoes to leave in your car on case you need to change into them after the hike.
