This page outlines our company terms and conditions. By using this website you are agreeing, and you are signifying your agreement, to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Prices and booking
The most up-to-date prices for accommodation and activities are shown on the Quest and Thrive Limited website. Any prices shown on the website or other communications are subject to regular review and may change. The agreed price for your event will be quoted when you make a reservation (by paying the required non-refundable deposit amount to secure your booking) and will be shown on your confirmation. Unless otherwise indicated, this price includes all amenities or services described as included in the price in the information provided to you.
We will send you an email confirming your booking and payment. Please check the details of your confirmation carefully. If any of the details are incorrect, or changed, including your address, you must inform Quest and Thrive Limited as soon as possible. You must also ensure that you pay any amount required in accordance with the confirmation payment schedule. All successful online transactions are confirmed to the purchaser by email. Each purchase is given a unique transaction reference. Please use this reference if you need to communicate with Quest and Thrive Limited regarding any purchase.
Rates are quoted and charged in Euro are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated. Alternative currency rates are indicative only, are based on current exchange rates, and are subject to fluctuation. Rates quoted are subject to availability and alteration. Any and all discounted rates quoted are limited offers and are similarly subject to availability, a minimum number of nights’ stay, and a certain number of sharing guests.
We have the right to increase or decrease prices in line with any change in VAT or other duties or taxes levied on your trip as a result of a change in applicable laws. If any term within these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, illegal or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.
Event cancellation
We will endeavour to ensure that all our events go ahead. However, if, through no fault of our own, we are forced to significantly alter or cancel an event that you have booked, we will let you know as soon as we can. In these circumstances you can choose from one of the following options:
- Accept our offer of a replacement event of lower cost (if available) and we will refund the difference in cost
- Accept our offer of a replacement event of equivalent cost
- Ask us for a refund of the money you have paid.
During our events, the itinerary and its activities may be subject to alteration, cancellation or duration due to, but not limited to, bad weather, group/individual safety, timing, ability, sickness, delays, or other unforeseeable circumstances.
Client cancellation
In the event of client cancellation, deposits and/or payments are non-refundable. Cancellations within 21 days of the event start date will result in the forfeiting of the deposit and/or payment. With regard to cancellations up to 21 days of the start date of the event, your deposit and/or payment may, subject to availability, be transferred to another event of your choice, as listed on our website.
Only one transfer is permitted. This transfer option is valid up to a period of two years from the date of the original booking. To cancel your booking, you must cancel the booking directly online through the confirmation email that you receive shortly after booking. Alternatively, you can contact Quest and Thrive Limited directly by phone to confirm your cancellation.
Promotional codes
Regarding adventure retreats/events that are booked in conjunction with promotional codes or as a special offer the promotional code/offer is only valid for the original adventure retreat/event date booked and is not transferable. In the event of a no-show for a booking, any balance due for the adventure retreat/event will be charged in full.
Conditions of booking
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise the possible hazards involved in our events, including injury, disease, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort. Participation in all event activities is entirely at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any injury, loss or damage howsoever arising, whether caused by your own actions or the actions of others. All participants are recommended to have adequate personal accident insurance in place for all such activities/pursuits.
No refunds will be given for services not utilised. If a customer of a Quest and Thrive Limited event is unable, or does not choose, to complete an itinerary event, the company is not liable to supply alternative itineraries, excursions, accommodations, services or staff for the period when the client is not present with the group.
If are travelling to Ireland from outside the country, before you come on event, you must be covered by insurance, which must include adequate cover for baggage, medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become too ill to continue, including helicopter rescue and air ambulance. It is up to each individual to ensure that their insurance is adequate for the event they have booked. Any claims concerning matters for which you are insured must be directed to your insurers.
If and when you participate in any activities that may be available on the event, such as climbing, mountain climbing, hiking, trekking, walking, cycling, kayaking, coasteering, ice-water activity, water-based activities, strengthening and stretching exercises, etc, you must have insurance that will cover these activities.
Quest and Thrive Limited is not liable for non-compliance to this and the passenger accepts responsibility for obtaining any travel insurance required for the holiday and the activities you wish to do while on holiday.
Any information or advice provided by Quest and Thrive Limited on matters such as permits, visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, airlines and travel connections etc. is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of Quest and Thrive Limited, and the passenger accepts responsibility for obtaining any necessary visas and travel documents required for the holiday.
Your responsibilities
During a Quest and Thrive event, if/when you participate in the activities it is necessary that you abide by the authority of the leader of that activity. If you commit any illegal act when on a Quest and Thrive Limited event, or if in the opinion of the leader your behaviour is causing, or likely to cause, danger, distress or annoyance to others, we may terminate your event participation without any liability on our part.
If you are affected by any condition, medical or otherwise, or have any special needs, these must be brought to the attention of the company at the time of booking. You must notify staff of medical conditions, prior injuries, or any other physical or behavioural conditions that may impact on safe participation in an activity. We reserve the right to preclude any person from participating in activities where safety considerations or risks, medical conditions or other physical ailments exist which may put your safety or that of others at risk.
During our events, all activities participated in that are not run by Quest and Thrive Limited but in conjunction with a local/national/international company, offering activities such as climbing, mountain climbing, hiking, trekking, walking, cycling, kayaking, coasteering, ice-water activity, water-based activities, strengthening and stretching exercises, etc, are the responsibility of the participant and the company involved, and not of Quest and Thrive Limited. Customers must adhere to the involved company’s terms and conditions and Quest and Thrive Limited is not liable for anything on the part of these companies.
With regard to the food we provide, we accept no responsibility for any death, injury or other loss suffered or caused by you consuming any foods or meals served during a Quest and Thrive Limited event. You understand that by eating meals prepared, cooked and served to you at a Quest and Thrive Limited event, you are doing so entirely at your own risk, and Quest and Thrive Limited will not be held responsible. Depending on any medical issues you may have, you need to make an informed decision on whether to consume food and meals served during a Quest and Thrive Limited event.
Quest and Thrive Limited will not be held responsible for any theft or loss of your property while you are attending a Quest and Thrive event. All valuable items should be left at home and all vehicles should be locked and secured. During a Quest and Thrive event, use of the car park/s is entirely at your own risk and Quest and Thrive Limited and its staff accept no responsibility for theft, loss or damage howsoever arising to vehicles, persons or property during the course of the Quest and Thrive event.
You agree that we have the right to recover from you, whether by credit/debit card or otherwise, the costs of any property or accommodation damage; any compensation we may pay to others, and/or any other costs or fees we may incur resulting from you or any member of your party’s action or inaction and/or from any breach of these terms and conditions.
During a Quest and Thrive event, any assistance you require or concerns you may have should be brought to the attention of a Quest and Thrive Limited representative or staff member. If you have any complaint about the event you are attending, you must make it known at the earliest opportunity to a representative or staff member of Quest and Thrive Limited, who will normally be able to take appropriate action. If you are not satisfied with their response and you feel your enjoyment of the event is likely to be significantly affected, you should notify our manager directly, by phone or email (as listed on this website) and we will do our best to resolve the problem.
Our responsibilities
Quest and Thrive Limited is responsible to you for the proper performance of our obligations under the contract. We are liable to you for any damage caused to you by our failure to perform the contract or by our improper performance of the contract, unless that failure is: (a) attributable to you; (b) attributable to a service provider to Quest and Thrive Limited events; (c) attributable to a third party unconnected with the provision of the services and are unforeseeable or unavoidable; (d) due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control and could not have been avoided even if all due care had been taken; (e) due to an event which even with all due care we could not foresee or forestall.
Quest and Thrive Limited will not be in breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise liable or responsible for any loss or damage, change to or delay or failure to perform, any of its obligations where such loss, delay, change or failure to perform is caused by circumstances outside Quest and Thrive Limited’s reasonable control including, without limitation: (a) adverse weather conditions or acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster; (b) epidemic or pandemic; (c) terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, imposition of sanctions, or breaking off of diplomatic relations; (d) nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom; (e) any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, including without limitation imposing an export or import restriction or prohibition; (f) collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident; (g) any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts; (h) non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors; (i) interruption or failure of utility service (each a ‘Force Majeure Event’).
Under our commitment to data security, your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorised employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from our sites allow you to opt out of further mailings. Quest and Thrive Limited will never sell, trade, rent, exchange or otherwise share your personal information with any other person, company or organisation.
Photography / videography
During our events, we take photographs and videos for promotional purposes. Should you not wish to appear in any such material, please notify us before or on your arrival. For those attending, only non-intrusive photography and videography of yourself, your own party and/or friends is permitted. You may not carry out photography for commercial purposes.
Disclaimer
While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information presented on the website, Quest and Thrive Limited does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information of listed features and products at their discretion. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at our discretion, without notice to you. The changes will become binding on you from the date of posting the changes so please ensure you regularly familiarise yourself with the contents of these terms.
Quest and Thrive Limited does not exclude liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law. In all cases, except personal injury or death arising from our negligence or any other liable which cannot be excluded or limited by law, our liability to you for the total of all claims arising out of your booking is limited to the cost of your booking.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to our website and the use of this website. Nothing in this disclaimer will:
- Limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury
- Limit or exclude our or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Limit any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law
- Exclude any of our or your liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.
The limitations and prohibitions of liability set in this section and elsewhere in this disclaimer are subject to the preceding paragraph and govern all liabilities arising under the disclaimer, including liabilities arising in contract, in tort and for breach of statutory duty.

Any waiver of any provision of these terms and conditions must be in writing and signed by Quest and Thrive Limited to be valid. A waiver of any provision hereunder shall not operate as a waiver of any other provision, or a continuing waiver of the same provision in the future.
If any court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these terms and conditions to be void or unenforceable for any reason, then such provision shall be ineffective to the extent of the court’s finding without affecting the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
